Board Meeting Minutes
December 1, 2005
Participating: Richard Serfass, Beckie Priehs, Pat Carr, Dustine King, and Orville Kabat.
Minutes of the November meeting were approved on a motion from Priehs and second by Serfass. Carried. The treasurer’s report and payment of bills were approved on a motion by Serfass and second by Priehs. Carried.
Soil Erosion Project discussion - a draft contract was submitted to the board. It is to be sent to DEQ for opinion.
The yearly review is to be done by Mark Vink of the Hantz Group. Date to submit to MDA is January 15.
Watershed reports given by Carr (see attached)
Annual meeting is scheduled for January 26 at the Bruce Twp Hall at 6:30pm. Ben Bartlett from MSU Extension will be the guest speaker. Meeting and election advertisement is to be in the local papers by December 12.
Leaf contest entries were available for board review. Serfass suggest that a coupon for a free tree be given to each participant in the leaf and poster contests. Carried.
Credit card and investment policies were presented for approval. So moved by Serfass and second by Priehs. Carried.
Serfass has donated a vehicle to the District. A donation receipt for $1,500.00 is to be issued and the vehicle added to the assist list. King to get registration and insurance.
