WORK SESSION - INTERVIEW MINUTES
February 27, 2008
A work session of the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners was held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Chippewa County Courthouse in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Chairman Kay called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with a quorum present to interview Barbara Searight and Jim German for the Administrator’s position.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Earl Kay, Bernie LaJoie, Jim Moore, Don Cooper, Scott Shackleton, Ted Postula and Richard Timmer
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
OTHERS PRESENT: Diane Cork, Debbie Sirk, Don & Chris McLean, Derek Myerscough, Tim McKee, Scott Brand, Dave Martin, Marilyn McDonald, Brian Peppler, Cami Yeck, John Willis, Marvin Willis, Jesse Knoll and Kelly Beaune, Recorder
Public Comments
Chairman Kay called for public comments. Mr. Marvin Willis requested that the Board of Commissioners vote for the qualified and more experienced candidate Barbara Searight.
Interview: Barbara Searight
The Board held a second question answer session with candidate Barbara Searight who refreshed the Board of her education, background, experience and qualifications she holds which suit her for the position of Administrator.
Interview: Jim German
The Board next re-interviewed Jim German for the position of Administrator. Mr. German also reviewed his background, education, experience and qualifications he holds. The Commissioners each questioned Mr. German on various topics pertaining to his application for the Administrator position.
Each candidate thanked the Board of Commissioners for the opportunity to re-interview for the Administrator position.
