The Chippewa County board of Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, January 5, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. for their organizational meeting in the Courtroom of the Chippewa County Courthouse.

Present: Commissioners Ted Postula, Don Cooper, Rita Dale, Richard Timmer, Aaron Hopper, Jim Moore and Chairman Earl Kay

Also Present: Mary Piralli, Sue Short, Tim Dolehanty, Controller, and Diane Cork, County Clerk

It was moved by Commissioner Cooper, supported by Commissioner Timmer, to acknowledge the correspondence received in the Clerk’s Office and if necessary, forward to the appropriate committee. On a voice vote, the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Commissioner Dale, supported by Commissioner Cooper, to approve the County Board minutes of December 8, 2003 with the correction on Page 5, paragraph 4: the word “devour” should be replaced with the word “endeavor”. With this correction, the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Commissioner Dale, supported by Commissioner Cooper, to approve the meeting schedule for the Chippewa County Board of commissioners and Finance, Claims and Accounts Committee as presented. On a voice vote, the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Commissioner Hopper, supported by Commissioner Postula, to follow the same By-Laws and Policies as in past years. On a voice vote, the motion carried unanimously.
