The purpose of the Public Hearing was to accept comments on the proposed amendment to the Clean Air Ordinance that was adopted in October of 2004 by the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners to delete Section 1005-16 (80-20 percent non-smoking vs smoking rooms) and to add “manufacturers” to the list of exemptions, Section 1008-5.

 

A total of 21 individuals spoke or sent letters in opposition or support of the proposed changes.

 

The Public Hearing closed at 8:50 p.m.
