MEETING MINUTES
A regular meeting of the Chippewa County Board of
Commissioners’ Building, Grounds and Jail Committee was held on

Additions / Deletions to the Agenda
Chairman
Kay called for additions or deletions to the agenda. Hearing none, he declared the agenda approved
as presented.
Public Comments
Chairman Kay called for pubic comments. No public comments were offered.
Agenda Items: Courthouse Annex Heating/Cooling
Tony Montero, reviewed the Courthouse Annex’s
heating/cooling system problems. The
Committee discussed the condition of the outside damper, installation of
building graphics and work station, air conditioning in a hub closet, and the
overall lack of maintenance on the heating/cooling system.
It was moved
by Commissioner Timmer, supported by Commissioner Postula, to approve the
purchase and installation of an outside air damper replacement, from ACC
Planned Services, in the amount of $1,425.00.
On a voice vote, the motion was CARRIED.
Mr. Montero, will be getting back with the
Controller’s office regarding the problem with the VAV box problems, as well
as, the building graphics and work station issue after more information is
obtained. It was determined not to move forward with the
air conditioning of the hub closet.
Bids for
paper products
Three bids for toilet paper, and both rolled and
multi-fold paper towels, were reviewed. Commissioner
Timmer requested that the state provider be checked with, to see if additional
savings were possible.
It was moved
by Commissioner Postula, supported by Commissioner Timmer, to approve the bid
of Mussio Janitorial Supplies, Inc, in the amount of $1,111.80, if the state
provider is not lower. On a voice vote,
the motion was CARRIED.
Updates
& Purchases
The committee was updated on Chippewa County Health
Department fix-it list, door sweeps for the Courthouse, purchasing an extension
ladder, radon testing in the basement area of the Courthouse, and repair of the
Circuit Courtroom ceiling.

There were no additional comments.
Adjourn
It was moved
by Commissioner Timmer, seconded by Commissioner Postula, to adjourn the
meeting. On a voice vote, the motion was
CARRIED.
