BUDGET WORKSHOP MEETING

 

December 5, 2006

 

 

A Budget Workshop of the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners was held on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Chippewa County Courthouse in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Chairman Timmer called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with a quorum present.

 

MEMBERS PRESENT:         Richard Timmer, Earl Kay, Jim Moore, Don Cooper, Scott Shackleton, Ted Postula and Bernie LaJoie

 

MEMBERS ABSENT:           None

 

OTHERS PRESENT:             Marilyn McDonald and Kelly Beaune, Recorder

 

Budget Workshop

The Committee received updated revenue and expense reports for the FY2007 budget.  Previously the Committee held three separate budget hearings with the Departments and received a draft FY2007 Budget at the November 9th Finance meeting.  The Committee discussed certain various possible reductions in department and agency allocations.  Discussions also included capital improvements, maintenance issues, storage and setting a target fund balance for the FY2007 budget.  The Committee also received follow up information on the position description for the Personal Computer Specialist and a urgent letter from MAC regarding the 3 to 5 Road Commission Bill.
