Agenda Item: Presentation Employee Benefits Agency

Greg Berg, Senior Vice President, Employee Benefits Agency discussed their current role with Chippewa County and benefits (short term/long term disabilities) that are currently maintained by Employee Benefits Agency.  The Group can also offer additional services through payroll, medical, GASBY 45 and possible savings with Retiree Health Care, by offering a policy that maintains the same benefits for the retiree, which would move the claims for the current BC/BS, and help to hopefully reduce the quarterly settlements.  The Group also offers an employee wellness package, focus groups, and online handbook and health fairs to help educate County staff.

It was moved by Commissioner Moore, supported by Commissioner Postula, to recommend The Employee Benefit Group, Greg Berg, to address the Finance Committee with a similar presentation regarding the employee health care benefits.  On a voice vote, the motion CARRIED.
