BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
A regular meeting of the
Chippewa County Board of Commissioners’ Building and Grounds Committee was held
on
MEMBERS PRESENT: Richard Timmer, Ted Postula and Earl Kay
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
OTHERS PRESENT: Commissioner Scott Shackleton,
Gundlach Champion; Dan LeVeque, Jon Zander, Harrison/Landmark; Gus Harrison and
Bob Van Putten; Morgan Landon, Sheriff Moran , Under
Sheriff Savoie and Kelly Beaune, Recorder
Chairman Kay called for additions or
deletions to the agenda. It was moved by Commissioner Timmer,
seconded by Commissioner Postula to approve the agenda as presented. On a
voice vote, the motion carried.
Chairman Kay called for public
comments. No public comments were
offered.

Agenda
Items: Jail Expansion – Gundlach Champion
The Committee was briefly addressed by
Gundlach Champion and Harrison/Landmark both giving an overview of the
Companies’ histories, as well as, relevant experience with jail
expansion/additions. Bob Van Putten,
reviewed the proposed plans of the 58 bed expansion, including the parking
area, control areas, kitchen/laundry assessments, and briefly covered the same
zoning issues with this project, as the County had with the previous
addition. Commissioner Timmer asked
about any energy efficient items that have been included in the design, and
questioned the marketing of these green items.
The fee proposal was discussed next and is as follows:
