A SPECIAL MEETING
of the Board of Chippewa County Road Commissioners was duly held in their
offices located at 3949 S. Mackianc Trail, Sault Ste.
Marie,
Meeting was called to order at l:
PRESENT: Commissioners Carr, Holt and MacDonald, Mgr.
Heckman, Office Mgr. Decker and Clerk McDowell.
PURPOSE: Union Negotiations and Medical Disability for
Mike Honkanen.
MOTION by
Commissioner Holt SECONDED by
Commissioner MacDonald to convene in closed session at
MOTION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE.
MOTION by
Commissioner Holt SECONDED by
Commissioner MacDonald to reconvene in open session at
MOTION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE.
No decisions were made in closed
session.
MOTION by
Commissioner MacDonald SECONDED by
Commissioner Holt to establish administrative staff position of Engineering
Assistant with effective date to be determined by Manager Heckman.
MOTION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE.
MOTION by
Commissioner MacDonald SECONDED by
Commissioner Holt that Mike Honkanens request for
sick leave advancement be denied on the basis of no probability exist for
repayment of the advancement.
Discussion on signing of
Equipment Operator 5 positions posted last week.
It was proposed that the two
employees who signed the Equipment Operator 5 postings be questioned regarding
required qualifications.
There being no further business
to come before the Board it was MOVED
by Commissioner MacDonald SECONDED
by Commissioner Holt that the meeting be adjourned at
MOTION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE.
