WORK SESSION MEETING MINUTES

April 3, 2007

A work session of the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners was held on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in the Jury Room of the Chippewa County Courthouse.

Chairman Kay called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with a quorum present.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Earl Kay, Bernard La Richard Timmer, Don Cooper, Scott Shackleton and Jim Moore

MEMBERS ABSENT: Ted Postula

OTHERS PRESENT: Barry Cote, Debbie Sirk and Diane Cork, Recorder

Agenda Item: Controller position

This meeting was a result of an individual being interested in the vacant

Controller/Administrators position with the County. Chairman Kay stated that a resume had been submitted for the vacant position. Legal counsel had been contacted to see if the County Board could appoint or must advertise for this vacant position. Determination was made that the Board could do what they wanted.

Discussion was held on the criteria needed, the position title and whether to appoint or go thru the advertising process again, contractual agreement and local versus out of county candidate.

It was moved by Don Cooper, supported by Richard Timmer to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
