A work session of the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners was
held on

The committee met to discuss and review the job description for the
proposed County Administrator/CFO position and what the next step would be to
possibly fill the position. Discussion include the range of where to advertise
for the applicants, it was acknowledged that the advertisement should be
statewide, and to include the classified ad, in not only the local Upper
Peninsula daily and weekly newspapers, but also the Michigan Association of
Counties, the Michigan Township Association and the Michigan Municipal League
publications, the deadline for applicants will be determined by availability of
the publishing dates. Discussion also
included the two previous searches for this position, as well as, keeping the
process accelerated and avoiding delays as much as possible. Publishing date deadlines of the various
mentioned publications and the classified ad will be submitted to the Finance
Committee for action.
