ENPLANEMENTS - Strong April counts, of 1,242, combined with good
January & February figures, to bring the airport the highest 1st
quarter (3,630) we have seen in the last 5 years. All the more impressive when you consider
flight cancellations have increase 40% over 2007.
V. PASSENGER FACILITY CHARGES - Participants
reviewed the Quarterly Status Report, for the quarter ending
VI. FUELING - Participants reviewed the March,
2008 P & L. Through the first
quarter, despite a 78.3% increase in fuel costs, the airport is showing a
profit of $35,274.49 - a 99.7% improvement over March 2007.
VII. OLD BUSINESS - Participants reviewed
Passenger Airport Statistics for the Great Lakes Region as of
IX. NEW BUSINESS - Noel advised the participants
that we are working toward a Community Development Block Grant for Superior
Fabrication. Through a meeting last
week, we learned the expansion project totals $2.7 million, and are hoping for
$1 million from MEDC. Noel advised this activity is a grant to
