Frank LaCoy Tree Dedication

Together with Frank LaCoy’s close family, friends and colleagues we gathered to celebrate his life and work during a tree planting ceremony on the Chippewa County Courthouse front lawn on Monday, October 19, 2009, which would have been Frank’s 71st birthday. At the ceremony, a Crimson Red Maple was dedicated in Frank’s memory. A special plaque with an inscription that recounts Frank’s life and service to Chippewa County will be placed at a later date, the inscription will read “Frank LaCoy “Keeper of the Courthouse for 30 Years of Dedicated Service“. Chairman Scott Shackleton presided over the dedication with several individuals sharing a memory of Frank.
