The Economic Development Corporation of Chippewa County was formed under the provisions of Michigan statutes for the purpose of promoting the economic development of Chippewa County.  The Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation’s mission is to encourage economic growth through strengthening the county’s competitive position and facilitating investments that build capacity, create jobs, generate economic opportunity, and improve quality of life.  Chippewa County EDC was formed under the provisions of Michigan Statutes for the purpose of promoting the economic development of Chippewa County. The Corporation has a 9 member Board of Directors with staff services provided by the corporation.
