Information Systems Department

As part of County Administration, Information Systems works closely with Elected officials and County employees to oversee technology that enables the county to provide public services to the community. The primary focus is in the following key areas:

 

INNOVATION

Developing or adopting technology that promotes efficient and effective public access to Chippewa County services.

COMPLIANCE

Ensuring the: intake; handling; processing; storage; and dissemination; of information is efficient, secure, and compliant with State, Federal, and Industry compliance standards.

COLLABERATION

Facilitating secure sharing of information between local municipalities and Federal, State, Local, and Tribal law enforcement and public safety organizations.

SUPPORT

Assisting and supporting Departments and staff, as they utilize technology in the performance of their responsibilities to the public.

CYBERSECURITY

Implementing measures and best practices to prevent and mitigate cyber-threats that seek to disrupt access to public services provided by Chippewa county and neighboring SLG organizations.
