The Authority was established to secure financing for the restoration/renovation of the Chippewa County Courthouse and in 1996 secured financing for the Chippewa County Health Department. Commission members are appointed by the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners for one year terms.  Administrative support is provided by the Controller for the Building Authority.
